Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing speech-language pathology services within K-12 educational settings, this role supports students from early childhood to middle school with communication and language development needs. Assignments vary, typically concentrating on one school location, with opportunities for full-time or part-time schedules based on school assignments across multiple campuses.
Location: Stuart, FL area, servicing schools in Port Saint Lucie and Ft. Pierce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language evaluations and therapy for students primarily in Pre-K through 8th grade.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Manage caseloads that may include students in ASD-specific units and off-site early education programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Provide consultation and support for classroom strategies that facilitate student communication.
- Supervise Clinical Fellows when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially within diverse academic settings.
- Ability to adapt services for various grade levels and special education needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Open to Clinical Fellows with supervision provided.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Position Details:
- Contract-based for the current school year, from ASAP through June 2, 2026.
- Full-time at 37.5 hours per week preferred; part-time opportunities available across multiple school sites.
- On-site presence required; remote or hybrid schedules are not available.
